Years Hunting: I started hunting on my family's farmland in Louisiana when I was 10 yrs old. Before that I was chasing critters everywhere. I've always been fascinated with wildlife. All I wanted to do was be in the outdoors. Not much has changed. I always deer hunted with my dad and I shot my first buck, a three point, from an old worn out treestand when I was 11 yrs. old. After that November morning I was hooked.
Years On Staff: In 2006 I started hunting and filming with the Closing The Distance staff and we were quite successful early on. I was a cameraman as well as the shooter. I truly
enjoy both. It is a rush to be filming as well as shooting. Being co-owner of Elusive Wildlife Technologies, LLP. and our company being in the outdoor industry, I was bound to run into Matt and Johnny. We did, and we all became fast friends and started hunting.
Behind the Scenes: I have an awesome family and great friends. I enjoy all sports and like to travel when I can. I lived and worked a year in Namibia, South West Africa on a 62,000 acre wildlife preserve where I learned about African game species and management.
My true passion is bowhunting for whitetails. I feel that a true trophy whitetail buck is one of the most elusive animals on the planet, hence our companies name. Getting close to game with them not knowing you are there is what bowhunting is all about for me.
Getting off a well executed shot is just the icing on the cake. All of the intricate facets of bowhunting and the excitement of fleeting success in the field is what I live for.
