Years Hunting: My dad and my uncle started taking me hunting when I was five. I killed my first deer at age 7, and I killed my first deer with a compound bow when I was 9.
Years On Staff: I've been on pro-staff with Closing the Distance since 2013.
Behind the Scenes: I work at the local golf course and I go to school at Lord Botetourt High School. I volunteer at the local vet clinic and I work really hard in school hoping to get into vet school later on. I'm active in my youth group and I'm a member of the National Honor Society along multiple other clubs. I like to tie flies and fish for trout. I also do a lot of saltwater fishing. I am a starter on my school's golf team as well.
I enjoy hunting & filming because: Ever since I was in kindergarten I've had an interest in not only bowhunting, but filming as well. I used to watch hunting shows on TV all of the time, even before I could hunt. After I killed my first deer with a bow from a ground blind at age 9, I was hooked on hunting. The next couple of years my uncle filmed me shooting some does with a bow. I asked for an HD camera for Christmas one year, and I killed a doe on camera while self-filming four days later. Now a hunt doesn't feel complete unless I'm filming it too. I love to be in the woods because it's just my addiction.
